“For years, elderly people living in sheltered housing in Grenfell Avenue have been unable to access town centre shops and facilities including the library and health centre by public transport. Bus companies said the road was too narrow, often obstructed by parked cars and needed yellow lines before they could offer a service. But now Western Greyhound has agreed to divert its Polperro to Plymouth service, which uses a Hoppa-sized bus, to go through the Warfelton estate instead of along New Road and North Road.”
